Wrap your head around the fact that other than the SEC, the B1G is pretty much the gold standard of conferences. A school would have to be bat darn crazy to leave either and join the ACC.

Athetically, it may be behind the SEC, but academically, its far, far ahead of it. The Big Ten pulls in tons of research dollars.

Stop debating this topic, we cannot leave even if we wanted to. There is a loyalty clause in B10 contract that all members signed giving away all TV rights to the conference to 20 years weather we are in Big Ten on not. I think PAC12 has similar agreement. Only way to ensure stability.

Somehow I missed that in all this. That's a heck of a clause. Good idea.
