Galaga - Farmington Valley Mall. I earned at LEAST 1000 dollars over a few years betting on that game.

Galaga at the Disco Laundromat, Dixwell ave. New Haven. I frequented the arcade on Center street, Downtown New Haven. That arcade was beautiful!!!!

not quite the 80s, but in the early 90s I spent a fortune of my parents laundry $$ playing Tekken and XMen at Captain Video on Sound View in Old Lyme. Loved that place.

I sucked, but a buddy basically owned the Defender game in one of the South campus lobbies.

Mid to late 70’s, Pong and Sea Wolf at the Prospect in West Hartford. These early video games supplanted the mighty pinball games. Worst thing ever to happen to bar rooms.

Guarantee that kid with the thick Boston accent claiming video games are better than being on the streets smoking pot.........

Ended up on the streets smoking pot.
...and it wasn't as good as the video games.

This is a great thread, a Boneyard team-building exercise that's perfect for these days and weeks of anticipation, excitement, and all kinds of unknowns. So many wonderful posts.

I used to love playing asteroids at The Brave Bull (John Fitch Pub) on Rt 5. Played pin ball there as well. Played Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man at the Oakwood in West Hartford. I played my first Pong game at Bowl-o-Rama on the Berlin Turnpike. Played at many other places but those were the most frequent.
The Brave Bull - what a place Used to see Little Village there on a regular basis
There was a Kansas tribute band that played there that was awesome
Oakwood was our after bank league softball hangout after games - too many hangovers the next day at the bank to remember

Whatever the arcade/minigolf/go kart and Par 3 thing in Vernon was called.- Golfland?

Probably there and a Cumberland Farms where Centipede, Ms Pac Man and Galaga were my biggies. I think Donkey Kong was about the end of arcade gaming for me.

That was a fun arcade. Except for all the people demanding quarters. Or else.

I am amazed how many of us mention this place. Used to ride my bike there.
