If it were a shorter conference schedule, say 7 conference games, we would still have 5 games to schedule P5 schools.

I can’t read the rest of the article but I am not feeling this move As long as AD David Benedict can keep making this good independent schedule. This assumes the schedule is maintained and not ruined due to P5 split into it’s own league.
