A BCS football coach walks into a recruit's home to close on a commitment...only to be informed by the kid's mom that he has been fired?

Apparently it happened to Mike Sherman, formerly of aTm, last night; a Tulsa news reporter is running with the story. That is really bad form by the Aggies if it's the truth...

i dont know why we expect collegiate athletics to behave with dignity. it's pretty clear by now that the "athletics" part is much more important than the "collegiate" part.

On CGD this morning, they said coach got the call while he was sitting in the recruit's driveway. Had to go in and tell the family, "uh, sorry, I'm not recruiting anymore."
