That is amusing.. Chicago State is cash strapped and being booted (well non-renewed) from the WAC. Not sure that they pull anything off, especially within 2 years, they've even been rumored to be looking at dropping out of Division 1 on and off over the last 5 years.

They need to focus on finding a conference home after they're WAC deal is at the end of this academic year.

Lol Chicago st should be d2 or d3. Absolutely terrible athletic program. Awful in most sports. But yeah they’re going to build a FB program.

Their last winning season in MCBB was 2009. Since then they’ve had just 2 years where they even won double digit games.

It is amusing indeed. It seems like their troubles financially have been going on for years. Producing a football program is about the last thing I ever expected from a school that seemed likely to drop out of Division 1 at any time. They also seem to have problems maintaining conference memberships, I recall when they dropped out of the Summit League a number of years ago, a conference that was geographically a good fit for them.

Total FTE enrollment at Chicago State is fewer than 1,900 with less than 600 students from ages 18 to 21. It has one dormitory of 330 students. There is no football facility on the campus.

The University of Bridgeport might be a better candidate.
