Born in '48. In the late 50's, Elvis was the "King", Jerry Lee "Killer", but for me Chuck was the "Man".

Going into the way back machine, there were a ton of black artists and groups from the Doo Wop era. Sonny Till and the Orioles were from Baltimore are certainly a good representation of the era and genre.
