Trying to set up a family gathering and need some suggestions. It would be best if the place were centrally located.

I'm not sure there's anything sadder than a buffet.
Hmm, the Rutgers trophy case?

Whatever you do - don’t go to River in Wethersfield. The chili is good - everything else is a complete disaster.

Brunch and buffets suck, they tend to be one in the same and then it's a whole bunch of suck.

You just haven't been to the right places. Not a fan of buffets but brunch is amazing. You get everything from breakfast to lunch foods plus

Another brunch menu I enjoy Screenshot_20190505-155148_Instagram.jpg

Avon Old Farms used to be very good. Unless it's a whole bunch of little kids.

Tell me more- called and made a reservation for mother’s day.

It’s a good location. Nice view. They have zero idea how to run a restaurant. Go in 12 months when there is new ownership.

Seriously Dakota is 500x better.

Only on the boneyard can a simple request for brunch recommendations end in people saying all buffets suck.

breakfast buffets are awesome. there just isn’t a good one in Hartford.

I went to the one at Mohegan last week. Not great either.

I would have said Adams Mill but they just closed.

Dakota is right off I-91 Exit 24. They claim to be award-winning.
Dakota is good as far as location goes and the selection is decent. Also found a place down in Seymour called something like The 1794 House. Dakota sounds better. I may still go with a traditional dinner at an Italian restaurant. I know one run by a friend and one owned by extended family. It is a college graduation celebration and I thought the kids would like a buffet.
