Perfect spot for him both on and off the court! Another former husky that will be so easy to root for and to check up on! Congrats BA!

I don't think Dee ever spent time in the GW athletic department. You may be thinking of Dom Perno, who for many years worked in athletic development at GW.
You are also correct. I was confused as to which former coach.

BA is a true blue Husky - his excitement on the bench this season after he lost his minutes was so inspiring. Never did he hang his head or show negative body language
His work in the academics is Okafor like - being in the financial field for 40 plus years I would love to work with him but by the time he gets into this area I will be working in my gardens or drowning worms fulltime.
Awesome job BA - all the best

Not clear why GW became a dumpster fire, as Christian had a good record when he came in. But even beyond helping them on the court, GW needs a few high character guys to help them bring all the new pieces together, and B Adams is clearly that. Best of luck to him as a Colonial.

Also continues the strong amount of ties between the program. GW having had Penders as a coach and Dee Rowe in their athletic department, Red Auerbach having ties to both programs (unofficially with UConn but as a friend of the legendary Marty Glickman the few years he was doing play by play), and Kromah and Dan Guess having finished their playing days at UConn.
Also had Jack Kvancz as AD for a while, former Warren Harding basketball standout back in the day. He hired Penders (they played against each other in high school).

My thought as well.
May it work out well for BAdams and GW; on the surface, it seems like a great fit.
This. Yeah it’s a nice spot for Adams, but it is a really solid pick up for GW.

Great fit for him... and closer to his hometown IIRC...

Happy for this guy... he already won (a UConn grad already.. now he's getting more...)

Perfect landing spot. Going to have a BA in Econ from UConn and a Masters degree from GW and didn't have to pay a cent. Set up for life.
Free MA at the uni with the most expensive tuition in the country, at least the last time I checked. Not shabby.

I think he’ll thrive there. Guess I’ll be watching some GDub games next season. Good luck BA.

George Washington has been very active on the transfer market and they bring in a 247's 64th ranked class of '21. Based on this, I was curious how the GW squad will look around Brendan Adams:

Returnees:
  • James Bishop, PG, SR: 19.1p, 5.1a (started career at LSU)
  • Ricky Lindo, PF, SR, 11.4p, 10.7r, 2.1 (started career at Maryland)
  • Amir Harris, W, SR, 5.8p, 4.5r, 2.4a, 1.4b, 24.5 mpg (19-20 stats, missed 20-21 w/ knee injury)
  • Hunter Dean, C, JR 2.4p, 0.8b, 15.4 mpg (started career at Southern Miss)
  • Noel Brown, C, SO 9.1 mpg
Transfers in:
  • Brendan Adams, 6’4 195, 4.5p, 2.1r, 1.5a, 20.1 mpg
  • Ira Lee, 6’8 245 grad from Arizona, 3.0p, 3.1r, 55.1 fg%, former 60th recruit
  • Joe Bamisile, 6’5 195 sophomore from VT, #96 recruit, 8.9 mpg
  • Bryan Knapp, 6’1 170 senior from Cornell, 7.1p, 1.4a, 42.9 3p% in 26.8 mpg
'21 class;
  • #189 - Brayon Freeman, 6'1 160 PG from Huntington Prep, WV
  • #233 - Daniel Nixon, 6'7 210 F from Winston Salem Christian School, NC
  • NA - Tafara Gapare, 6'8 185 F from New Zealand
Depth:

5) Lee, Dean, Brown
4) Lindo, Nixon, Gapare
3) Adams, Harris
2) Bamisile, Knapp
1) Bishop, Freeman

Overall, very nice work from Jamion Christian and his staff. Despite their 5-12 record last season, I see that as a very solid A-10 squad.
