AAC Tournament Seeding?

Right now, we are 8-8, and Temple is right behind us at 6-10. How do the tie breakers work? I know we split with them, but if we hold the tie breaker, I think that means we cannot finish any worse than 7th. Memphis is 9-7, we split with them as well, and its possible we finish with the same record as they do. Im just wondering how tie breakers work with teams we have split with.

I believe the AAC tiebreaker goes:
1. Head to head record
2. Record against the top team in conference standings
3. Record against 2nd best team and so on...

Just play well. Get the underclassmen a lo of minutes. It would be nice to win the tourney but Hurley will keep one eye squarely on next year.

Looking ahead, Memphis could easily lose their last two games (Wichita State, Houston). However, us winning our last two will be a challenge with Houston at the end.

I feel like the best possible scenario is

UConn wins out

Houston splits

Tulsa splits

Memphis loses out

We’d be the 6th seed and play ECU round 1

Then we’d play Cincy then Tulsa.

Or if the standings stay how they are we’d play UCF, Tulsa then Cincy

Edit: Looking at it now I think I like the current standings. Beat up UCF, take on Tulsa, then play either Memphis or Cincy

Yup. Good way of looking at it. So basically we want Tulsa to drop to the 2 seed if we’re stuck with the 7th and we want Tulsa to stay the 1 seed if we move up to the 6th. Lol
