To show the world they know football. Coaching opportunities at FBS are rare, nothing at all like getting the pseudo sports column in a small newspaper.

Eight games to demonstrate they have the goods. Eight games to keep their FBS credentials and avoid having to drop down a level or two. Eight games for plain old personal pride. No one is quitting on that, regardless of their contract status. True, recruiting is compromised - but that was the case the moment Randy bombed that Holy Cross game. Don’t direct the arrows at AD David Benedict, direct them at Randy for his failures to turn this thing around. Randy never found the bottom, just kept going lower. Had Randy manage to make the 180 turn we needed we wouldn’t have to be talking about recruiting losses.

Even if these guys are terrible they will likely land on their feet in D1 maybe even get a raise considering how the other coaches have left us.

He said there were 11 guys on the OLine that were capable of playing, just never said how well.

I just hope everyone will get a job in football. I'd love to see what Spanos could do with a bunch of coaches that he would listen to. FHCRE didn't listen and who knows maybe the next Dan O transferred because FHCRE didn't like him...
