This sucks. Haven't hit on any of the JUCO OL he offered.

Always look on the bright side of life ...

The visits from Le Boucher, Hammond, Nelson ... I saw as very optimistic sunshine. Offensive Lineman from directions we never would have glimpsed prior to that weekend; and that is just the beginning. The Pehrson, Davidson, Joe triad pushed a level of talent into Storrs. And they are gonna continue. The visits this week and next will yield surprises as well. I think when seeking Line talent there's a few things that had to happen: one of which was identifying ways to contact and get them to campus. Methinks ... all relationships and contacts are scoured to get kids to consider arriving for our next season. It is their priority.

There's also the undercurrent of NIL. Not sure how that's being approached but it's probably a consideration for some players and their families. If a University already has something in place it would be foolish not to mention it.

“This is going to be all the way up until August," Arizona Director of Player Personnel Matt Doherty said. "This is going to be all the way up until the start of fall camp and that’s not just us, it’s every college football team. Talent acquisition has changed drastically, so you can’t just hold serve and say this is going to be our 2022 team. It’s going to be a march right up to the starting line in terms of fall camp and August. We will evaluate whatever comes down the pike and act accordingly.”--

Twitter certainly doesn't mean everything or much of anything in recruiting, but I love seeing Mora jump on big time QB transfers. Following not only Jaxson Dart, but also his dad(?). No stone left unturned. Feel like he's got a pitch of you can be that guy that turns around this team and if you come, the OL pieces will come.

Maybe they pursue some sort of package deal for a QB/OL combo. Sort of like upgrading your team when a star recruits another star (e.g. Lebron). You find a QB in the portal and then 1 or 2 OL's and you try to get them to be a package deal. That way you create confidence in each guy and increase your chances of getting upgrades on the same side of the ball. Do the same on D. That way they don't feel like lone wolves.

Transfer portal rules (i.e. not having to sit out first year after transfer) is a potential game changer and we need to get creative to leverage it as best we can. (Hopefully the staff is already doing this).

Yup... Would be a nice surprise if this young man is on an official right now up in Storrs too... Leave no stone unturned indeed.

St Thomas Aquinas QB Zion Turner reported to be visiting this weekend.

-> Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas three-star quarterback Zion Turner will take an official visit to UConn this weekend his coach, Roger Harriott, tells 247Sports. Turner, who 247Sports pegs as the nation's No. 33 passer, also has an official visit scheduled to Temple the last weekend of January. Indiana, Auburn and Jacksonville State are a few others schools that have expressed some interest recently in the Miami native.<-

-> UConn is now under the direction of former NFL coach Jim Mora. The Huskies signed 13 prospects during the Early Signing Period and also added the services of Penn State quarterback transfer Ta'Quan Roberson. Temple also recently underwent a coaching change with Stan Drayton taking over for Rod Carey. The Owls – like UConn – don't currently have a 2022 quarterback committed. <-

Sokoya McDuffie from Transfer Portal. 6-5 305. Productive 2021: 28 tackles 4 sacks 6.5 TFL. from Florence SC majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Talking to Akron, Western Kentucky, Houston and UConn. This is a good solid plug.

It looks like we may have another on the OL as we just got what looks to be a commitment post from Sammis and Hillard’s interests me as I wonder if it might be on the defensive trench as it came after the OL commit and from a defensive coach
