Why am I thinking his middle name is Montgomery?

Robert Montgomery Knight
Montgomery Burns

Coincidence? Yeah, most likely.

Edsall can point to a history of great rb production, Dixon, Todman, Brown, McCauley and use that to show that he will have success here. He has a shot to get some snaps right away.

Welcome to the pound.
Plus Randy is a control football guy. Sending backs between the tackles is his bread and butter. If Burns is decent (and he appears to be), he'll get plenty of carries.

Found it interesting when I saw we had offered another transfer portal RB because it doesn’t jump out as one of the biggest spots of need but maybe RE isn’t comfortable with the young guys behind mensah yet. Regardless welcome to the pound Robert!! Will always welcome talent

The way he bulldozed that DB to get the 2 yards needed for the first down at the 35 second mark of this clip is what I am looking for. Someone to bully his way to first downs after contact. Sure, he has the potential to do much more than that, but at a minimum that is what I am expecting here, a bowling ball.

Some first rate talent with a few dents and scratches. Take it all day long. Great add.

This is a good pick up. A lot of the top teams have over stockpiled talent and they all can’t play. Nice to see Edsel take a chance on some of these transfers. You can definitely pitch immediate playing time.

Definitely was a need. UConn had only 2 RBs on the roster over 173 lbs plus Modeste coming in. Burns will be the biggest RB on the roster at 225 lbs.

I see one of the posted tweets says injuries have delayed Rob's extended success so far. Does anyone know his injury history? Is he coming in on new knees? Bad shoulders?..............
