I see no immediate threat to our dominance or legacy. I'm talking college basketball programs. Based on the last 25 years who is next or closest to catching us?
When you think about it, this could be a generational legacy, where we are living on such royalties. I don't see other blue...
Diarra's jump is the Championship standard to me. Edwards now has that ring and the confidence/pedigree to go with it. He'll enter every game as a Champion which no opponent can match, already at an advantage. Champions (all of them) know what it takes.
Edwards potential is high, and he...
I'm too old to recall, so I lean on others. Last year I felt it was AJ's steal, behind the back dunk. I'm struggling this year, mainly because we were so deliberate and methodical, but I know some damn good plays exists.
What was your favorite play this season?
Diarra will be our most important piece if he returns. I don't understand how posters suggest an unproven/untested D1 freshman will be instantly better than a 5 year, 2 time Champion, BE 6th man of the year winner who has years of D1 experience, including some BE.
He knows Hurley's system...
dook will be number one and win the National Title for the next 4 years in a row. dook will be always be the best team in the Nation even if they have a losing record. dook will always be greater than UConn, and UConn fans will always look to them for insight and comparison.
This thread is...
No surprise, just glad he was quick in his announcement. He was our homegrown CT star that made his State University a powerhouse!
Mission Accomplished, now go get beat up learning the pro-game and get paid will making your mark. We all know you are CT/UConn through and through.
Future is...
To me even the phrase blue blood is corny. Our blood is unique, fresh and full of vitality. We have different blood and it ain't blue like theirs. Actually we stand alone, and above those schools. All they have to hold on to is the prestigious blue blood moniker, even though their teams...
His return is critical to our success next year. His experience, pedigree, leadership, and like you mentioned system knowledge are invaluable. As for starting, it's his to lose regardless of new recruits and/or transfers.
Newton says Zach Edey is too small. I bet no other college player has ever said that to Edey. I wish I knew how to make a gif/meme or whatever, this is some historic shiaat.
Anyway check out our All American with this absurd but funny moment forever capturing his legendary message to Edey:
It was a treat watching him play against the best team in the Nation. He certainly made Clingan better tonight. His stamina was amazing. I just respect how hard he tried to carry his team proving why he was the NPOY. We beat a true Goliath, making this Championship so special.
Those blue bloods should be in a museum for historical purposes just like any old relic.
We are the main attraction breaking away from ancient history.
It's like Ringling Brothers Circus compared to Disney World.
We 'arrived' at the Circus two Champions ago. We've since moved on to new...
During the game I have never noticed the 'nice guy' Clingan. His swats comes with a verbal and non verbal (e.g. that menacing stare) message. He's too fiercely competitive to be nice.
Just saying, he may look nice, but Clingan is cut throat to me and a killer.
Edy will play 50 minutes in his last collegiate game with a title on the line, if he has to. Its apparent that he won't get tired. Quite impressive, his conservation of energy.
Just saying 'tiring him out' strategy won't work (as a primary).
Castle entered rare air when he joined Carmelo Anthony and Patrick Ewing to become the third Big East freshman to score 20 points in a Final Four game.
