This is a really stupid thing to say. You have exactly 0 evidence to support this.
Go find another fanbase if you're going to talk about recruits like this. Ridiculous.

People are forgetting St. Mary's isn't a normal mid-major. They were in the top-25 in kenpom the last two years. They're well coached and beat some very good teams.
My gut says it's one of Brea or Mahaney, not both. That would be A LOT of wings on the roster.
This will probably be the only time I ever say I'd prefer someone over a 49% 3pt shooter, but I see a lot of Cam in Mahaney and I want that on the roster. Brea feels a bit redundant if the McNeeley...
The timing of the Mahaney, Brea, and McNeeley visits aren't coincidental. We're getting them in before the 5/1 deadline so anyone who chooses to transfer has a fair opportunity to. That's a respectful thing to do.
That being said, I think everyone should stay and we run it back with our bench...
Less-than-exciting update, but what the heck.
Uncle (the contractor) came over yesterday and took a look. We're going new construction as expected. He said only idiots put in replacement windows, lol. But he's also done this for 40 years and is a little grumpy at this point. New construction...
He'll play because he can defend. How much will depend on if his offensive improvement is consistent or a flash in the pan.
As of 6 months ago, I'd have said his offense will preclude him from getting anything more than spot minutes. His offense was horrible in AAU and early in his HS season...
I'm sure we'll lose our minds anyways, but let's remember it usually takes a few days after a visit to make any kind of announcement.
But yeah, kid is going to be a Husky.
I'm assuming they wouldn't negotiate as much if I'm buying a couple of them at a time? I can't imagine having 10-15-20 new construction windows sitting in my garage at once and not being strangled in my sleep by my wife.
This is super helpful--40% is more than I would have expected.
I've heard that about the Andersen/Pella etc. at Home Depot. I'm looking to avoid and ideally use a local company even if it's a bit more expensive.
That's the plan. My uncle ( carpenter and HIC) is comong over on Friday.
Overwhelming likelihood is we'll be doing new construction. If we're going to renovate as much as we are, it's probably worth it to get new frames, flashing etc. instead of putting lipstick on the pig. Plus I'm redoing all...
The difference in price isn't really that much for parts--they make a ton on the labor. Which makes me wonder if I should just suck it up, take a while longer, and do the full windows over time.
Replacement inserts, most likely. The frames aren't in bad shape at all. I'd need to do a bit more research on full-frames... flashing, nail flanges and such isn't something I've done in probably 15 years. Doable if I need to.
I'm not an expert or close to it in anything, believe me. I watch a...
I'll attempt to answer all the parts of this... thank you for the thorough response.
1) Yes, I've installed more windows than I can remember. I never opted to get licensed as an apprentice carpenter or take the classes, but I worked for my uncle's finish carpentry and home improvement business...
I think my wife would probably want the highest end everything... she's a snob. I don't care about the look; I just want something that is energy-efficient since we want to live here for decades. I'm guessing we'll end up somewhere in the middle. Wish me luck, haha
I just really hate going to those showrooms. I just want to be able to hand them a list of window sizes I need and have it shipped to my garage. But I'm probably going to have to go to one.
Thanks
I was a halfway carpenter's apprentice in a former life--my uncle was a carpenter and general contractor who did home remodels and I worked for him after school and during the summer from 12-22. Windows are actually pretty easy as long as you order the right size... which many people do not...
In watching every full game I could, and every highlight available online over the past 2 years... I am not sure he's taken anything but a layup, dunk, or 3 at all. Ever. Or at least on camera.
That plus the fact that he just doesn't turn the ball over will make a solid contributor year 1 if...
I need to replace a bunch of windows in the house I'm renovating with inserts. I'll do the installation myself and probably put in new trim inside and out while I'm at it. Energy-efficiency is a must even if it means more $. Not afraid to spend some money since we'll be living here for 30 years...
I prefer players who have a quiet recruitment and take their time to make the best decision. Frustrated the bejesus out of fans, but it speaks to maturity and intelligence.
If a player commits to us because we're the shiny new toy, what happens when someone else has a bigger, better toy?
