I think it might be the greatest defensive performance ive ever seen. He completely dominated that game even beyond what could be quantified by stats. Just his presence on the floor effected that entire game.
I had my doubts too in the sense i thought the injuries were going to hold him back but he got healthy and took off. Hes going to be terrific at the next level. Best pro we`ve put in the league in years but watch out for DC. If he ever develops a consistent jumper he could be a 20/10 guy.
Oh man i could see the BSPN lead after the title game "Uconn wins its 3rd straight national title going a record 40-0 but more on that story later, first we go to Indiana and find out what Caitlyn Clark ate for breakfast today."
I think DH is hinting at how long he`ll be here before he leaves to take his shot in the NBA. He keeps saying he wont be coaching past 60. I think thats just to get people used to hte idea that he wont be here forever. I think around that time he will evaluate and weight his options and possibly...
He is an explosive athlete but very raw skill wise. What id like to see from him:
Learn to set a screen without fouling.
Better box out.
Stop hacking at the ball two feet from the floor. Get your hands straight up.
Improve footwork and learn a couple reliable post moves.
HIT THE WEIGHTS!!!
We were nowhere near the team we became when we played KU. To think that game was two bad feet on Cam and a front rim 3 from winning at Allen just shows how superior we actually were. If we had played them at any time after Jan 1 Uconn wins going away even at Allen.
That is just stuuupid!!! A guy that size with that explosion and power. He also has a nice stroke from 3. I hope he puts in the work and comes back next year and challenges for CPOY along with Karaban who i predicted years ago would eventually be a candidate.
Well said. Yet we have you believe that this Uconn team was great compared to the competition but isnt a historically great team that wouldnt beat the teams of yesteryears. Which is funny because just a couple of years ago you had the same talking heads talking about where 21 Baylor and 18 Nova...
Hilarious seeing some of the things that have been said here over the years about Sean Miller but he makes some nice comments about Uconn and its a slurp fest lol! Man! I love my fellow Uconn fans.
Yup. Yet he still managed to average 14ppg in the BE. Also a 4th year guy who shoots that well you have to ask why his usage rate was so low. Im not saying he sucks and i hope he comes here im just asking questions no one else seems to be asking. I just find it odd that a guy that looks that...
I dont want to be the contrarian here but i think it needs to be asked, if hes such a skilled player who can shoot lights out why is it that in 113 games hes averaging under 10 ppg in the A10?
Well its a highlight video and everyone looks great but his shot looks clean and for sure as you said he has a quick trigger. Cam was very dynamic and all over the court but Hawk was basically a guy that came off screens and just nailed 3s all day and we won with him so this kid just has to be...
This is correct. Itd be 24 hour coverage and hype on BSPN. Im not in the least bit surprised though. When we beat Dook in 99 it was mostly about how this histrorically great team lost. In 2004 it was "well its the Uconn invitational because theyve got the best team so no big deal". 2011 it was...
I could be absolutely wrong but im guessing he wasnt in great shape as a freshmen but watching some tape on him he seems very, very talented and just needs to get in a bit better shape, discipline and hard coaching and he can be an absolute diamond in the rough. He looks like a slightly larger...
If Karaban comes back, Stewart and Ball improve like we think they will this team is just a transfer at C and Nowell being the real deal away from making another run. Of course there are some other things we need to fall our way but this is a nice start.
I was sold from the first game i saw him. He was built and moved like an NBA player. I think hes going to be terrific and we know he can score but his rebounding and defense are really going to make him special.
The bulls continue to prove theyre a stupid franchise. Sanogo is big, mobile and has great, not good but great footwork. He can play. People roasted me for saying it but i will repeat it here again Sanogo if given the chance will average a double double in the league year in and year out. He can...
With his talent by the time he steps on someones campus he will be unstoppable offensively. He will be unguardable attacking the basket. Doesnt remind me of either he reminds me of Andrew Wiggins but better in every way.
Have to agree. Some guys just fit certain roles and he is not only good as that first guard off the bench he is GREAT at it. He absolutely killed teams this past season. He was either sparking a run or putting an end to the opponents run with a couple of steals that would sometimes turn into...
Yup, met her years ago at my nephews game in Somers. Had a few words with her and she was extremely kind and humble. My sister whos son was playing had no idea who she was and was awed by her size lol.
Yeah im not a fan of that wording especially if thats not exactly what Hurley said as it can be used against him. "Hurley calls recruits parents garbage" adding to the narrative that some love to paint of him being a jerk. If he did use it then its fair to deal with any back lash from it.
Cant really compare 30+ years of success with 6 years of which 2 were utter dominance. Lets not forget his first 4 seasons were a bit rough which was to be expected.
