    Scholarship Grid: Then & Now

who was arguing that? i do know they would have struggled to land Jackson, and that has fall on effects with other recruits.

    Scholarship Grid: Then & Now

Yeah that pretty much proves the point I was making to a T. For the record, I'm fully on board with @NJHoops overall macro perspective HERE.

    Scholarship Grid: Then & Now

very good point. I was looking at it in a vacuum, but driving to games for both the kids and the families takes on extra meaning in today's environment

Shocked at how much people don't think BE has helped in our recruiting. I guess i shouldn't be, but still. wild stuff

    Scholarship Grid: Then & Now

Well when you don't miss on your 1st option (or your 2nd 3rd 4th etc), you get a well filled out roster

    Scholarship Grid: Then & Now

idk about "far". Every single recruit has specifically mentioned the big east as a conference, in terms of both quality and ability to play all games in front of family, as one of their foremost considerations. Every AAU/highschool coach too. Willing to bet 80% of these kids don't come if...

    2021 Recruiting: Jordan Hawkins

IIRC Kenya was assigned to do other things from the start. He's only been back heavily in the recruiting mix post year 1 or something. I forget what the details were, just that the other guys had more focus on the recruiting trail at the start

    RIP Stanley Robinson

Maybe. But from the article earlier ITT, he was just snake bit when it came to luck. To think that a guy with his measurables and his skillset never played a single NBA game? that's crazy He was waived the last day of 2010 training camp. “The next year, he’s in the D League averaging a ton...

    Maya Moore and Jonathan Irons

Also to simply take a break from BBall and rest. The professional women play year round with no offseason to make ends meat. They play the WNBA season (which obv doesn't pay) and when that ends, they immediately go to Europe and play that season (pays much better). Then back to the WNBA...

    The Athletic: Richie Springs Article

Dude he was trash most of last year. He had like 3 or 4 good games. I guess he's only useful in very limited scenarios then? Overall, that means not useful. Whaley was just flat out better than Carlton at almost everything towards the end of the year. Plus, he's much more built for...

    The Athletic: Richie Springs Article

At this point, Whaley is a better and more effective player than Carlton. I expect him to continue eating up JC's minutes as he consistently did towards the end of the year. Carlton will have to make another leap if he wants those minutes back.

    The Athletic: Richie Springs Article

Much higher on Springs than BA. Springs has a skill that I think will eventually be elite (rebounding). All you need is one elite skill and a coach who can exploit that, and your really have something

OT: Marquette incoming transfer D.J. Carton immediately eligible

Dang it was a while back Hooper. I'm always capable or misremembering tho, and could have mixed him up with RJ in my head for sure. You've got the goods right there so I'll defer to that

    Electric or Gas Power Washer

Pressure washers aren't long range by design. Above 2nd story is pressing the limits of range. You're mostly likely going to need a ladder.

    Electric or Gas Power Washer

For most homeowners, gas is overkill. Yes, they are without question better. But if you are doing siding, and concrete steps, occasionally a car (with the right setting/nozzle for gods sake), electric is great. So much less hassle. Easier storage. Easier use in general. I own 2 because...

OT: Marquette incoming transfer D.J. Carton immediately eligible

Doesn't seem that cut and dry to me. There's tons of kids who are pushed out of programs, where the program wants someone better. The original program would be happy to 'approve' the transfer or whatever to get rid of the kid. But most of the time, these kids don't get waivers

    Clingan debuts at #47

You said universally desired 'recruit'. Not 'homegrown' recruit. So I wasn't even talking about that.

    Clingan debuts at #47

Lotta talk about who he is playing with in High School and AAU. Can someone tell me, is he playing against the top comp regularly or not? If not, he's doing himself a disservice, all that hometown stuff aside

    Clingan debuts at #47

There's been a bunch. We just haven't landed them. I don't remember a single person who wasn't salivating over a guy like Hamidou Diallo Once people heard a UK connection, they might have soured, but that's because of UK, not the recruit

    Ranking the Star Wars Movies

They need to get out of those eras imo. Been banging on about doing Old Republic movies for ages. I think those would be sweet. Jedi origin stories would be cool too. I still don't know why Return of the Jedi gets no love amongst Star Wars fans. Thought it was great. Introduced so many...
