Next year's regionals ...... Birmingham and Spokane?

I don't have a real problem with Birmingham, Spokane has been a fixture for years on both the men's and women's side and they generally do well in regards to crowds. I do have a problem the following year with Fort Worth and Sacramento. Two sites west of the Mississippi River is a bit much...

    Cinderellas...who are they?

At this point, the only correct answer is the team that has not been ranked at any point of the season in any poll.

ANALYSIS and COMMENTS - UConn vs Duke - Sweet Sixteen (Game 3 - NCAA Tournament)

Honestly, Ohio State might have been an easier opponent. At least you know what you are getting playing the senior laden Buckeyes. Beat the press... slow down and contain Mcmahon, boom. Those kids from Duke , my hair has been graying rapidly since November

ANALYSIS and COMMENTS - UConn vs Duke - Sweet Sixteen (Game 3 - NCAA Tournament)

There was an article in December about Duke (and a few others) The idea of a Knife Kid is simple: it’s a kid running around with a knife, dangerous and unpredictable. Entertaining at first glance, until you fully register that it’s a kid with a knife, liable to hurt themselves if left...

Players Entering Transfer Portal, As of March 2024

From the Tar Hole Tribune According to sources, Paris was cleared medically a few weeks ago but never was in uniform for a game. She didn’t practice with the team, although she warmed up with the Tar Heels some in Columbia, S.C., last weekend and practiced separately.

    Let the Carousel begin!

HUGE step up. PC is the smallest school in D1. App State has about 21,000 students and a 8,500 seat arena. More money, bigger athletic budget, far greater ability to recruit. Plus the Sun Belt is a much better league than the Big South.

    HBCU’s and scheduling conundrum

. NC A&T is a HBCU in my backyard. In the past 7 seasons two P5 schools have come to Greensboro. In 2017 UGA and in 2016 a Top 10 UCLA squad led by Jordin Canada and Monique Billings came to Greensboro. UCLA had played at SCar a few days earlier and wanted another game on their east coast...

I wouldn't thank them either, but then again I'm occasionally petty.

Duke first to the Sweet Sixteen

I guess some of the people that bought tickets in advance in Albany under the idea that UCONN was gonna be there, are just going to meet up in Albany to fellowship and watch some good non-UCONN basketball.

Unfortunate incident with regards to Utah's team

One of the problems was that the Men's opening rounds were held in Spokane as well. That's 8 teams in addition to the 4 women's teams.

    M&W in NCAAs

Unfortunately for State, the Men play at 7 on Friday, and the Women play at 7:30. Gonzaga's Men play at 7:39 Friday, and the women play at 10pm Friday. Depending on who wins on Thursday Night, the UCONN men could be playing at the same time as the UCONN women on Saturday.

:( i liked coach Brooks, loved what he did to raise VPI to a ACC contender. Now they are going back down to hang out with Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, Clemson, and SMU in the basement.
