Man. Lots of walks early, a grand salami given up, little offense to speak of (excluding walks), defense not helping cause and a pick off. @uconnbaseball is correct story of the season…
Huge game for Quigs to salvage at least a win. Offense still a massive concern. Two big mid week games before conference season kicks off.
At large is off the table. Focus needs to be to get to Big East tournament and hopefully peek then.
The way she handles herself…give me Paige all day long over the field. She doesn’t have her dad telling her to grow up from stands. Amazing player and represents university and state very well.
The player she has morphed into this year where she has accepted power forward role, her defense...
LIU is coming off long 2 out of 3 to CCSU. Would expect Schild to get start again. Need bats to come alive and they should at home. Would be nice to pitch from a comfortable lead and not put pitching if any high leverage situations.
Team showed huge improvement. Defense was there, no base running miscues, fewer strikeouts, double digit hits and a pitcher who threw strikes and my god did he work fast. A pitch clock was not necessary with him last night. Team should have some confidence now heading into another challenging...
I’ll say this. We’ve seen two performances now where he is turning heads. Freshman are gonna have some WTH performances but he has a good mix of pitches and some of that jersey moxy. After this evening No one is gonna be surprised if that happens…
Honestly nothing of what you suggest should be off the table. There are guys on this team who have contributed and need to contribute but may just do it from different roles than we and or coaching staff expected.
The lineup is a real question since there are so few that you can have any...
Aftim doesn’t even throw a strike. What a way to lose. As soon as team gets lead pitching hands it right back.
Wasted a fantastic effort from Van Emon.
Echos what Penders said about scheduling. He loves the early tough matchups to see where his team is and continue to give exposure to NE college baseball….
Sloppy defense so far. Error on 3rd basemen and should be error on second for missing tagging first base on bunt. Not doing ourselves any favor and putting pitching in one heck of a hole
When he hints at lineup changes he usually doesn’t disappoint so based on that I would expect to see some different faces out there today. Small park and hitter friendly hopefully we can take advantage of that today and get our pitching more support…
Good for Quinn he had a really tough year last year to say least. Comes on is efficient and does his job. Good confidence booster for kid!!! We will need him big time this year
Going to be an interesting watch through the first few weekends. Always wild to see which players emerge when lights go on, which struggle more than you would have thought based on coach’s feedback on performance in preseason. I know Penders likes stability in his lineup so most of what he...
I know the NIL money is nice but the education and networking he can take advantage of down there will pay off long after that NIL money is spent.
Yale is a great watch. Lots of experience, two kids who can flat out shoot in Mahoney and Poulakidis, local flavor with Knowling and like previous...
I friggin love Renee Montgomery. She is such a natural on TV. So yes we lose some of the home cooking that SNY provides but not that much.
Yes my dad just called with same issue you aren’t alone
This seems to be the MO of Cavs teams. As soon as they look good they will go cold and the moment you want to write them off the pull of an unexpected win.
Just amazed at how strong Castle is. His ability to finish through contact is at a senior level. Not sure I can remember seeing a freshman embrace the contact and muscle through it like he does. His shooting comes around and becomes more consistent….scary
