    Week 11 preview (Jan. 17-23)

Oregon St. beat Colorado by 3 in OT yesterday. Much needed win for OSU. Colorado has quickly come crashing back to reality after their undefeated OOC. Got some work to do to show they are more than a middle of the Pac team.

    Week 11 preview (Jan. 17-23)

I've been there before. Not much rhyme or reason regarding when there are other people in there or not.

    PAC 12 WBB News

Dang. Thought Jones and Brown were gonna be a really nice duo, but at this rate they'll barley ever be on the court together.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Both teams had plenty of chances to win this game that they didn't take advantage of. Finally Oregon St. did. I've never been a fan of Sherrod. Looks like she had a great pair of games against the LA schools, but now has been completely M.I.A. against both Stanford and OSU. I just don't...

    Oregon Post Game Thread

I'll probably get a timeout for this, but I keep seeing this narrative popping up in this thread. Simply not true. UConn started out 10-0 in a bit less than 3 minutes, finished the game 7-0 in 1:24. That means they were outscored by 30 for about 35 minutes of game time. There was no "1 bad...

    Oregon Post Game Thread

That is extremely misleading. Started out the game +10, outscored by 23 the rest of the way, and that was with a 7-0 run to end the game when it was completely over. So no, it wasn't 1 bad quarter that did them in. Outscored by 30 other than the first 3 minutes and final 1:24.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Well we don't have the Jan 17-23 thread up yet, so I'll put it here. Oregon St. finally gets a decent win. Beat Colorado 69-66 in OT. CU and Arizona were among the last unbeatens, but both have picked up 2 L's quickly in conference. OT was ugly. Only 2 points for each team for more than 4...

AP Week 11 Rankings, we moved up

Unbelievable. I thought for sure they would be out after getting hammered by Tennessee. What are voters seeing with that team?

Kyra Elzy in the Hot Seat?

That made absolutely no sense when they extended her like that. They were competing with...nobody else for her services.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Clark had 4 steals and 2 blocks in addition to everything else.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Iowa beats Nebraska 93-83. Foul differential 28-7 and FTs 34-8. That's shameful. I really wasn't pulling for one team or the other, so I have no bias here. I hate the way refs can have such a massive impact on a game. Just ridiculous.

Kyra Elzy in the Hot Seat?

Should be in the hot seat. Even earlier, but Nikki Collen should be as well. Took a miracle today to avoid staring off conference play at 0-3. Still plenty of talent at BU, but there probably won't be after this season.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Michigan St. by 19 over Northwestern. Must have been in East Lansing. Other than Indiana, the Big 10 is looking like a big jumbled mess. edit--okay, Michigan and Maryland each only have 1 loss, but they are squaring off right now

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Wisconsin got their first Big 10 win...over Rutgers, who fell to 0-7. Time for some changes at RU, this season is a disaster.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Tennessee over Kentucky 84-58. UK the great pretenders, they should not be ranked. Hopefully won't be after this shellacking and a ho hum 8-5 record.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

How did Baylor pull that out? They were down 4 w/ about 30+ seconds left and won by 3. What the hell did Kansas do at the end of the game?! edit--outscored 7-0 in the final 25 seconds; nice choke job by the Jayhawks

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

USC beat Washington 73-66. Outscored them 44-27 in the 2nd half. Mulkey w/ by far her best game as a Husky (26 pts), but not much help. Jordyn Jenkins w/ 24 for USC. She's been coming on strong as a soph while Pili looks like she'll never be the player she was as a freshman.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

UCLA pulled away in Q4 to beat Washington St. 71-58. Leger-Walker and Osborne had a scoring duel, but Charisma had more help from her teammates.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Stanford beat Utah by 10 after trailing at the half. Looks like Brink had her best game for quite a while--24 pts/11 reb. Lexie had 21. Wilson has been making a bigger impact lately, she had 12 off the bench. Jenna Johnson led the Utes w/ 15. That kid is good. I'm really surprised that...

    What are you binge watching?

I watched another ep. Hulu is starting to irk me. The first ep. was commercial free. The longer you watch, the more ads they bombard you with. I can't understand why I have to watch ads while I'm streaming something, on a platform I'm paying a subscription for. It's ridiculous.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Texas Tech beat Kansas St. handily today. Is the Big 12 just a pile of lukewarm mush? Maybe Iowa St. is the class of the league. Baylor ain't what they used to be. Texas looks fairly uninspiring ever since beating Stanford. Hard to get excited about any of these teams. edit--oops, forgot...

    What are you binge watching?

Started fairly late last night, but got a couple episodes into "Ghosts," will watch more. Rose McIver is always charming. She pretty much looks like a different person when she isn't in zombie makeup. Her costar Utkarsh Ambudkar is one of those guys, you know you've seen him somewhere, can't...

    Recently Watched Movies 2022

Finally saw "Dune." Mixed feelings. If the best thing about the movie IMO was the ornithopters (mechanized dragonflies, how freaking cool is that?!), that's probably not a good sign. Minor characters played by Jason Momoa and Josh Brolin were far more interesting to me than the main...

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

After a DISASTROUS first quarter (trailing 17-3), Washington St. settled in, then dominated USC the rest of the way and won 71-63 on the road. Can't ever count out the scrappy Cougs. USC I think is just forever doomed to be mediocre.

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

After a long layoff, Washington kept close to UCLA for about 3 quarters, then lost contact. Only mustered 48 points. UCLA scored 63. Only 47 shot attempts. UW has to be one of the lowest paced teams in the country. In her Pac 12 debut Mulkey scored a whopping 3 pts. 6 reb, 3 assists, 1...

    Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Maybe truly dominant teams are a thing of the past. Everybody has looked vulnerable at times this year. Hollingshed certainly didn't step up to the moment for Colorado. 2-12 shooting, 7 pts/3 reb. Sherrod w/ 6 on 2-9. Miller led them w/ 16. Like I said she always seems to play well against...
