Only real marquis game is Sunday...City v Chelsea. Other potentially interesting matches are:
Villa v Arsenal - let's see if Villa is for real and if the Gooners can right their ship on the road.
Swansea v Southampton - 2 surprise top 4 teams with dreams of staying there thru the year.
flirting with top 7.
Leicester v Man U, should be great. Leicester plays pretty open style and will be amped to host United.
and of course the always lovable and usually frustrating Spurs host WBA Sunday. Let's see how Spurs does after playing a Thursday game in Serbia. They generally draw in these situations.

Thank god for the Premier League. It helps me forget that college football exists.

Potential "upset" (if a draw can be considered an upset) as bottom of the table Hamburg is giving Bayern all they can handle in a 0-0 tie at 70 minute mark. Bayern is starting to control possession in the attacking half though, so probably only a matter of time before they jump ahead (Hamburg packing it in behind the ball and looking for the occasional counter attacks).

Watching this and can't help but notice what a great job NBC Sports does with their coverage of BPL (better camera angles, locations, producing, etc...) compared to GolTV.

Julian Green just entered the game for Hamburg in 76th minute. Gets a crack at his club who loaned him out.

Ex-Spur Holtby also playing for Hamburg (wish Spurs held on to him).

BPL does a better job than every other league. Even La Liga has terrible camera work. But when you see La Liga teams in the Champions League the camera work is of a much better quality.

Liverpool-West Ham has been entertaining.

Took my son today to our first Red Bulls game at Red Bull arena. Sat in the second deck just above the supporter's group. Good view, loud, watched BWP get a hatrick and it was half cheering/half jeering when Dempsey scored for the Sounders. Only bad experience is trying to drive out of that neighborhood and get back onto I-280 West. All well. Oh, as a bonus, sat next to a friend from the soccer league who 1) knows I am a Arsenal fan and 2) is a Villain.

Kind of a surprising beat down even given that the Sounders opted to rest their starters. I think they have to play Dallas next, and that is a tough game as well.

With DC only getting a draw and the Revs losing that was a couple of good outcomes for Sporting. We get the Revs this weekend after hopefully taking care of business at home against Real Estelli on Tuesday night,

Spurs looking listless thru 1st half, per usual following Europa week.
Leicester-Man U has been entertaining. DiMaria w/ a sweet goal.
Leicester is growing on me, love how they come after you and play (and not pack it in keeping 10 guys behind the ball).

Spurs are awful.... Tough sporting weekend for me...again.

This Leicester-Man U game is phenomenal. Leicester may be the most fun and entertaining team to watch in the entire league.

Wish I hadn't missed that game.

Southampton and West Ham are fun too. Amazing how West Ham and Southhampton can gel their team together, but Brendan Rodgers says it will take half a season for Liverpool to gel.

My ManU friend made me accompany him to the bar again this week after the good luck I brought last week. Oops.

That was awesome to watch. Leicester never stopped pressing and never got conservative. If they can keep the injuries away and not get bogged down with depth issues they can certainly stay up

United on the other hand need to buy some defense in the worst way. Ouch.

I only got to see the first half but I know we've got Spurs fans here. I am shocked that WBA took them down on the road. Irvine was about 2 games from anarchy.

Lampard checks in late, scores against Chelsea to salvage a 1-1 tie for City (playing down a man). You'll never see anyone celebrate a big goal less.

I thought that was pretty classy. For a 36 year old, he still has some game.

Great weekend for the Gunners fans. We win 3-0, all goals in about a 4 minute period, then both teams walk through the rest of the game. (which is fine with me)

Tottenham loses, ManU loses, Liverpool loses, and both Chelsea and ManCity drop points. :D
After last weeks CL debacle, we needed that.

PS - Big news up in Boston that the Wynn bid for a casino in Evertt beat out a bid from Mohegan Sun for the casino to be in Revere. There were strong rumors that a soccer stadium would have been incorporated into the development plan. Revere was pushing for it. Looks like Kraft will be waiting until Boston wins the 2024 Summer Olympic bid so that he can have someone else spend money on a stadium for his Revs.

Went to the Sporting-Real Estelli game last night. Love having 3 home games in 8 days. Third game is against the Revs on Friday night.

Last night Sporting rested some guys and still won 3-0. 17 year old Erik Palmer-Brown at CB who is still in high school in Lee's Summit, Mo. Juventus and Chelsea already have offered 1 Million USD to buy him, which of course was rejected.

After sitting on the bench for two games. Gyau saw time for BVB against Stuttgart in a 2-2 draw. Dortmund has a boatload of injuries right now so he needs to push while he has the opportunity to do so.

Any chance he would want to play for Arsenal? The Gunners could use a few center backs at this point in time due to injuries and a lack of logic on the transfer market, though, not as bad as Man U, who needs an entire back line.

We got Monreal, just because he's slighter better than mediocre at LB doesn't mean he can't play CB. Oh wait, he's hurt too.

Too bad the Gooners didn't make an offer on Besler or Omar Gonzales.

Man U only has one CB available this weekend.

Man U is a lot like the Texas Rangers of the late 1990’s early 2000's. Everyone knows that they are going to score a lot; but, the question is, can they keep the other team from scoring more.
