archie goodwin stinks. both him and marquis will be out (the later already) of the league soon. But Cal!, the monster at player development!

Ive always said, for every Anthony Davis/John Wall that Cal put into the league, there is a Teague/Goodwin. Yet all recruits these days see is the fact that a quarter of the up-and-coming stars in the NBA are UK alum: Davis, Wall, Cousins, with dozens more to follow. Yet who can blame them, our fans really undervalue how helpful our NBA presence has been in terms of recruiting. Most of our NBA names are retiring and we are losing grip. Just a couple years ago we were #2 in overall contract salary of current NBA players behind Duke at ~$890 million, yet today its really just Drummond and Kemba. With the direction the Heat took signing Dragic and Bazz's massive drop in playtime to a whopping 0 MPG, we need to get our footprint back in the NBA. Luckily I think that is one of KO's strengths: assessing potential NBA talent, having spent over dozen years in the league himself.

he is an nba coach, who, to his credit, has swallowed all the bs that characterizes college hoops. the damn three in the key, can't run great fluid offense with that. so many junk defenses because of this. all the way to the admin. stuff. uconn is lucky to have him, he is legit better than 10 coaches in the nba off the top of my head. Calipari, not so much. he is a recruiting/salesman savant, but it doesn't take much coaching when your rotation includes 10 5 star prospects. who leave in 1 year. player development is a thing in the nba too. He would stand no chance in todays nba IMO

Be a little bit fair. Yes he is a a good recruiter, but he gets his kids to buy in defensively and play together and that is no easy task.

DHam, Jalen, and Purvis will be first round picks eventually. Let's see what kind of talent KO can bring in now that recruiting limitations are gone
