Iowa wins 92-76. The much-hyped Zahui B. was effective and at times dominant. But she gave back points to her counterpart, Iowa's Beth Doolittle. AZB ends up with 21 rebounds and 20 points or so. Melissa Dixon dropped in 8 from behind the arc. Logic had 22.
Bugle-mouthed announcer Eric (the ear ache) Collins opined that AZB is the "best defensive post in the country." Oh, really? I can think of a couple that are better. He topped that by saying that Iowa's Sam Logic is the best guard in the country at playing in the low block. Yikes, dude. Ever heard of UConn? Eric was, I think, trying to immitate Gus Johnson today. The guy was screaming his head off like he had bet his Beemer on the game. It was funny at times.
I grew up loving Hawkeye hoops. But honestly, UConn beats either team by 30-40 points. Zowie Bee!
