This is a good baseball conference
Home v. Bryant on Tuesday then off to ranked Wichita State
Thanks for the update, not sure which sport, hockey or baseball is harder to get information.
UConn baseball would be a lot more difficult if it weren't for the efforts of Chris Jones and his radio broadcasts of the games and the various interviews he does. At any rate, in any of the college Olympic sports you really have to be on your toes and pay attention to stay informed.
Chris and UConn’s social media accounts are heads and tail above any mainstream coverage.
Shawn McGrath from the UConn Blog is also a wealth of info and a must follow after Chris Jones/UConn.
Change in plans:
You guys are a tough crowd. It couldn't have been above freezing when the game started, probablynot above 35 or so now, and you're bashing baseball players for fielding? Florida players? And upset that we don't have lights on the field? So that we could play games 10 degrees colder at night?
Sheesh. There is a reason that northern programs aren't spending the money on college baseball that southern programs are.
No, the reason we want lights is that we can complete games that are started during the day. I expect that with a lighted field, we would see a few 6pm games, especially in late April through May. But most games would still be played in the daylight hours. Along with a turf field, it would give the baseball program more flexibility in getting games in.
