1 out for Ward, who continues to pitch well. IU's top of the order is coming up.

Ferriter strikes out looking, and UConn strands 2.

7-0 good guys. Indiana pitching change with 2 out in the 9th. I believe the bases are loaded. Lets see if we can get one more big hit to make this a statement game

Wish 91.7 had a stronger signal. Left Hartford it was okay, got towards Wallingford/North Haven and it was gone. Left me hanging... Nice win.

    Nice win!

Next is Purdue, should be a good game only because Purdue is the preseason favorite to win their conference

Heard that Ryan Moore was staring in right field earlier this week from a very reliable source. Then was told just before game time that he was hampered by a thumb injury. He then goes out and pitches to 6 batters giving up no runs and striking out 3. Not sure if his thump bothers him or not, but hopefully he could be one of our better options coming out of the bullpen while also helping in the outfield. Good way for team to start season tonight.

Could it be that his left thumb was the problem and he couldn't swing a bat? That would still allow him to pitch effectively.

Purdue - Cinci rained out yesterday, so I'm assuming UConn will be facing their ace.
