*Program revenues are estimated based on self-disclosed school-specific financial information. Methods for estimating Football Bowl Subdivision program revenues include applying a proprietary system of procedures to adjust for multisport revenue sources and facility-specific revenues not pertaining to any one sports program. Cash flows (not shown) also reflect certain programs' efficiency in providing cash to be their owners (the host university). This explains why certain program values don't correspond to revenue levels one-to-one, necessarily. However, there is clearly a strong correlation between revenue and value.
**Intrinsic values are estimated using fundamental analysis. Fundamentals considered include long-term on-field performance, stadium size, state-by-state growth rates, cash flow, revenues and NFL programs' financial information. Invested capital implies that the valuations reflect long-term debt and equity. These values apply to the host universities as continued going concerns, or as likely purchase prices in an open market. Since universities are tax-exempt on profits, taxes at the corporate rate were excluded from this analysis. Thus any hypothetical ownership transfers of FBS programs would require tax effects analysis, if not assumed by pass-through or tax-exempt entities.

Revenues in line with P5 schools too...which I find completely surprising. Serves as a good reminder to those "cut football" freaks we have here that our football program brings home some serious bacon, even when we lose in God awful conferences.

It's a fun list. A dumb one, but a fun one.

I didn't go through the metrics with a fine tooth comb, but any list that has South Florida/Central Florida with more value than say West Virginia/Rutgers is just crazy.

Any conference smart enough to invest in UConn right now is like buying a blue chip stock on a dip.

After joining a major conference we would take at least as big a jump as Utah, #39 at $199 million. Connecticut is more populous than Utah, UConn doesn't share in-state loyalties as Utah does with BYU, UConn has reach into NYC and Boston whereas Utah doesn't reach out of state ... our value would have to be in the $200 millions.

1000% agree. If given the same resources as other Power conference schools, UCONN's revenue and value doubles (or more). No in-state competition here and the fanbase consists of alumni and CT residents who didn't go to UCONN but grew up watching UCONN sports. Plus, like you said, UCONN can claim presence in areas outside the state as well.
