He's had a great summer playing his AAU ball with NY based Team SCAN. He has been the starting PG for their 10th grade squad which has been one of the top teams all summer. I don't think he's seen any time of the Varsity squad with Tyus Battle, Diallo, Thomas Bryant, etc. I know he did not travel with them. But, like Battle he plays a grade level above his actual class having just finished his Freshman year so there is a good chance he's alongside Battle alot next summer.

He's also been in attendance for number of UCONN and last night was not the first time he's talked to our guys. Keep him and Enoch home.

Good article from the Register:

Gotta keep on him. I have a feeling KO will lock up CT kids like Waters and Enoch.

Very nice..seems a bit early to call anyone a lock, but I know he's been on Storrs campus a lot. His AAU coach likes to refer to him as a young Shabazz. I found it interesting that he said Waters was killing it yesterday against current players and other recruits..not sure if it's true, but if it is ..damn

This is almost like another Drummond in that the kid has been up on campus so much it is hard to envision him going anywhere but UCONN. He is able to show DH and Lubin where to go up on campus. However he has three years of high school left so who knows. I know the kid is a bit undersized but seems to have an ubelieveable handle and ability to shoot.

He just measured at 5'11 in socks so size his size isn't too much of an issue, still has room to hopefully add a couple of inches. I'm confident in saying this kid will be a star, he has "it."

also love the symbolism here with him playing pickup at Gampel while the draft plays on the screen and Bazz getting drafted

He doesn't look 5'11" even in sneakers but the kid has game……..hopefully a growth spurt remains.

Sounds like everything was "awesome" the other day huh?

Regionally Waters has been on alot of people's radar since he was about 11, I am really happy to hear he picked up this offer.

This kid has an understanding of the game that's hard to teach. Even of he never grows another inch Tremont will be a great point guard at the next level, as UCONN has proven time and again good guards, regardless of size, win championships.

This is kind of silly but as you can see Tremont Waters is already a big deal in his hometown.

Well he's 15. So he's got time. High school/AAU D is suspect anyway.

Oh, I by no means meant by him. I was joking about how every time he got by his guy every other opposing player just watched him make layups. But like you said, it's obviously an exhibition event. I was just kidding around.

I like the last line in Borges article, "Don't be shocked if Waters makes a college decision soon to take the pressure off and allow him to enjoy his next three years of prep school". Must be the Johnnies ;):D
