Oregon State has to be the most anonymous top 15 team in this history of WCBB polls

I picked Oregon State to finish 1st or 2nd in PAC12. I watched them a couple times last year in NCAA first rounds. They return everyone. Could easily be a sleeper team. Will need to see how they do against Tennessee next week.

Because I enjoy possession-based stats.
7th in offensive points per possession
30th in defensive points per possession
9th in rebound percentage

Very solid.

On the other hand...

RPI #79, Strength of Schedule 316 (per WBB State). Their non-conference schedule to date has been very soft.

LSU at Long Beach State tonight at the Pyramid.
Beach has a 27 RPI and took USC(west coast) to OT before losing and just beat Cal 17/18 in OT, forcing 31 turnovers.
The Beach, 9-1, better start getting votes if they win this game against Caldwell's Tigers. I know LSU isnt as good as they might have been perceived to be in the past, but Big West teams dont often beat SEC teams, or even get to play them. And as any good citizen of the Volunteer state will say, the SEC is the best conference in WBB.

North Carolina and Tennessee in the next two weeks will strengthen that SOS.

1) I know all about them. :D
2)Still my pick to win the Pac12:cool:
3)You'll be rooting for them on Tuesday night.;)

Darn right. If they can pull off the upset... I'll probably wear some orange and black tomorrow...... might even find a few small streams to dam up as well :p

LBSU pummeling LSU in the 1st half 30-16 with just over a minute left. Halftime can't come fast enough for LSU. What a godawful team they are this year. This is the 2nd program Caldwell has run into the ground.

judging from the box score, all they had to do was shut down Nina Davis...they only lost by 2

Not a top game between two ranked team, although Oregon State is. In yesterdays game between Southern Illinois vs OSU this interesting occurance.
If anyone ever tells you that they need an 8 point play, here is how it can be done.
From the first half play by play:

02:16Foul called on Ali Gibson (OSU)
02:16TECHNICAL Foul called on Deven Hunter (OSU)
02:16TECHNICAL Foul called on the OSU Coach
02:16TECHNICAL Foul called on the OSU Coach . . . OSU coach ejected
02:16Carlie Corrigan (SIU) MADE the 1st of the 2 shot Free Throw(23-23)
02:16Carlie Corrigan (SIU) MADE the 2nd of the 2 shot Free Throw(24-23)
02:16Carlie Corrigan (SIU) MADE the 1st of the 2 shot Free Throw(25-23)
02:16Carlie Corrigan (SIU) MADE the 2nd of the 2 shot Free Throw(26-23)
02:16Carlie Corrigan (SIU) MADE the 1st of the 2 shot Free Throw(27-23)
02:16Carlie Corrigan (SIU) MADE the 2nd of the 2 shot Free Throw(28-23)
02:16Cartaesha Macklin (SIU) MADE the front side of the Bonus Free Throw(29-23)
02:16Cartaesha Macklin (SIU) MADE the back side of the Bonus Free Throw
(30-23)

Go from one point down to 7 points up on 6 Technical fouls FT's then make both FT's of the One and One.

Baylor was down 46-31 near the end of the first half. It was one UGLY half of basketball. Mulkey broke out the press and that was all she wrote. What a big turn around.
