Today's St. Johns game

We are down 2-0 in the top of the 4th. Last inning we had the bases loaded with no outs. Next 2 batters fanned. 3rd batter pops out!!! Frustrating to say the least.

Mazzilli not playing. Anyone know why?

Unbelieveable, bases loaded one out in the bottom of the 4th down 3-0 and Ferriter grounds into a DP. What is wrong with Ferriter this year, even if he hit a ground ball in the past his speed was usually enough to beat out the throw. He has done nothing this year, really stuggling to say the least. 2 straight innings bases loaded and no runs to show for it.

Lead off double by Siena in the 5th. Gets stranded at 3rd. 3-0 after five.

Bottom of the 6th. Paul on 3rd with one out and Sundberg flies out and Verdi strikes out. Stranded at 3rd. This teams lack of production right now is at an unbearable state.

Bottom of the 8th still 3-0 St. John's. We have 1st and 2nd, Mazzilli pinch hits and has a 3-1 count and swings at ball 4 and grounds out. They have stranded 12 runners and are 0-11 with runners in scoring position.

- LJ Mazzilli missed a start for the first time since April 1, 2012 against Seton Hall…50 straight games.
- Carson Cross pitched the first complete game for UConn since Anthony Marzi at USF (May 12, 2012) and recorded 10 strikeouts for the first time since David Fischer vs. Notre Dame (May 17, 2012).
