    Remaining schedules

    UConn: SU, @PC, Pitt
    WVU: @ND, Marq, Depaul, @USF
    Seton Hall: Georgetown, Rutgers, @Depaul

    Projections (based on RPI):
UConn: 9-9 (wins over PC, Pitt. Loss to SU)
WVU: 9-9 (wins over Depaul, USF. Losses to ND and Marquette)
Seton Hall: 9-9 (wins over Rutgers, Depaul. Loss to Georgetown)

Both Seton Hall and UConn beat WVU. UConn and Seton Hall split their two games

Might it actually be advantageous to be the 9 seed (via tiebreak), play on tuesday and to get one more "win" before the 8/9 game Wednesday? Sure helped last year...

We are in a different position this year IMO. Playing that early vs the BE's worst teem can only hurt us. It wouldn't be a noteworthy win and the early loss could damage our tourney chances if we don't beat Cuse.

It would be nice to get some momentum heading into the BE tourney.

The other thing in our favor from a bubble standpoint is we have a 3 game lead on 11th place. So if we do go 1-2 and end up in 10th place, we're looking at either DePaul or Providence on Tuesday in the BET.

If I had to bet I would say we are more likely to beat SU at home than win at PC.

if we have to lose one of the next 3 games i'd take this scenario over anything else

    Losing to SU is forgiveable.
Another bad loss on the road (PC) isn't. That would be them at 3-7 on the road.
2-1 and a neutral court win over Depaul would be OK. .Back 500 away from home.
Facing Seton Hall in a neutral court 8/9 game would be OK. It's over after that. The 8/9 winner gets SU the 7/10 winner gets Marquette and we haven't seen anything that says those games are winnable.

I'm not worried about the draw in the Big East tournament. What is is, and however tough it is we will have deserved it.

I want to win the next three games. We need to win at least 2 of the next 3 games.

I dunno. UConn only has 17 wins. IF they beat Providence and Pitt, both are not gimmies by far, and lose to Syracuse, then they end up with 19 wins, and 9-9 in the big east. I think it would look good to get over the 20 game hump. Does DePaul suck? Sure, but it would help get us over the 20 win mark.

20 wins and a 10-10 (if they lose in the 2nd round) Big East should get us in with our RPI and SOS.

I'd like to actually win the Big East tournament, and don't want to have to try for another 5-in-5.

Hall gets a huge win tonight vs. GTown, looking more and more like we'll be playing on Tuesday unless we can get hot here. Worst part is Hall is right on the edge of the bubble with us the win tonight boosts them a lot.

As of yesterday, Seton Hall was among Lunardi's last 4 in and a 13 seed. We were an 11 seed. They will move ahead of us after tonight.

But other teams right below our seed level have been falling: Xavier (11) lost, Northwestern (12) lost, Miami (12) lost, Texas (13) lost, NC State was 1st 4 out and lost. Other teams around our seed level are BYU (12) and Arizona (12) and they don't play anyone notable any time soon.

I don't see us getting leapfrogged. We just need to take care of business. A win vs. Cuse will just about punch our ticket.

I wouldn't be opposed to winning 11 in a row in postseason play again. I mean, I thought it was pretty fun last year.
