Canada up 37-32 at halftime. Nurse with 6 pts. and looks very comfortable out there. Nia Fields (ucla) looking good. Other collegiate players Ruth Hamblin (Oregon St) and Plouffe(s) (both sisters? Marquette and Utah). Liz Cambage and Belinda Snell are only 2 Aussies I recognize at this point. No LJ though I read that she is hoping to play in the world championships.

Canada wins 62-55. Nurse finishes with 9 pts; Nirra Fields (ucla) scored 10.

Leilani Mitchell, who chose not to play for Liberty this season, plays for australia.

That's the first time I was able to watch Nurse in game play, impressive. Lots of energy, very athletic and her defense was really causing havoc with Australia's point guards.

Not sure what to think of Australia. I think the entire team are Pro players, either in Oz or elsewhere in the world. Seemed like they werent well organized.
The girl that impressed me for Canada was Ruth Hamblin(#23) of Oregon State. I only watched the 2nd half and she played real good defense on Marianne Tolo and Liz Cambage, both seasoned pros. By the way, my pick to win the Pac12 is Oregon State, as long as they stay healthy.

SSSHHHH!

Praise her "D" too much and Tony won't be able to cite how well Geno develops her skills when she gets to UConn.
