When was the last time as superstars kid was actually any good on a high level? In any sport. I'm not saying Cassell Jr. wont pan out. Just starting a thread here for comparisons.

Kobe Bryant and Grant Hill have been OK

Calvin Hill from the NFL ... not a lot that crossed over lines like that.

Basketball hasn't seen many. There's some in other sports ... the Mannings in football, Boones in baseball, Earnhardts in Nascar.

Joe Bryant was good? Thats no superstar
True enough. Although I loved Sam am I as a player, I wouldn't call him a "superstar" either. Yeah, better than Joe Bryant, though

The Matthews family in the NFL, the grandfather, Clay Matthews played lb into his 40s, of course Clay Matthews Jr currently of GB, uncle Bruce Matthews HOF Olineman played a long time as well, i think there are 2 other Matthews who are playing in the NFL right now other then Clay.

Bret Hull son of Bobby

Not only did Cassell Jr father play in the NBA he is currently an assistant coach for the Wizards that can't hurt at all, so I'm sure he got to know KO well during his playing days.

Sam Cassell wasn't a "superstar", he was roughly on the same level at his best as Glenn Robinson and Tim Hardaway were and their kids turned out just fine

Wait, if we are saying the Griffeys, how can you forget Niels Griffey?
SportsCenter has had some embarrassing stuff over the years, but man that was awful.
