YHey guys!

I am working on putting together some famous teams for College Hoops 2k7 (don't laugh) for when an old college buddy comes to visit for a few days.

I wanted to include the 03-04 UConn team, but frankly I don't know the team as well as you guys would! It would take me an hour to do what would take you guys like 30 seconds, from memory:)

I have Okafor and Gordon done, but is there any way I could bother you guys for maybe a single sentence on each of the players? Something like...

*Okafor, starting center, dominant rebounder/defender, blocks shots, not an offensive threat from midrange or three, played lots of minutes
* Gordon, starting SG, insane three point shooter, good handles, average defender, can score from everywhere, played lots of minutes.

If I could steal this from you guys it would be hugely appreciated; would like to get the team made correctly. I just can't tell what I need to know from stats.

Thanks guys!

Thanks!

Taliek Brown - Extremely fast, tight handle, 30 mpg, good from within 3 feet or from near mid court at MSG, can't hit a shot anywhere in between, poor ft shooter. Good defender. 3/1 ATO
Denham Brown - Average to slow for a wing but good handle, good 3 pt shooter +40%, I don't remember him being a good defender, not afraid of big shots. Good role player. 25 mpg
Rashad Anderson - Couldn't Guard, Couldn't drive but had range to the parking lot and if you let him see one 3 pointer go through you might watch the next 6 go through as well. 41% 3 pt shooter
Josh Boone - Defensive specialist pf, got most of his points cleaning up the glass or running. Fair athleticism for his size.
Charlie V- Very athletic Big, offensively gifted and decent 3 point shooter in the low 30s.
Marcus Williams - Freshman point guard, creative passer with special court vision. On the slow end of the spectrum for NBA caliber point guards. Not a great 3 point shooter.

Hilton Armstrong obligatory addendum- Sophomore big, exactly 1.0 HA units tall, biggest asset was 5 fouls to give and could get after boards when both feet were under him, high ass-to-floor ratio, sub-50% FT, epitome of developing young player.

Shamon Tooles obligatory addendum- Sr from Rip's hometown, Mad Rap skills.

Ultimate Lord welcome. And at the risk of outing you I will just say you can replay that Duke/Uconn FF as many times as you need. We are still winning . :)

But actually it sounds like a cool idea. I still have march madness 09 and in the interest of full nerd disclosure I took Dyson off the injured list so I could whoop up on the Spartans and Tarholes in the Final four. So I get it.

Rashad Anderson: addendum: Also known as "the dagger" for countlessly plunging the final dagger in the backs of the opposing team with his lethal three-point shots, permanently ending all hope of a comeback

Hey guys!

Thanks so much for your help, I REALLY appreciate it... you guys are a bit more easy going than the Kentucky fans. I guess that isn't saying much though... :)

And yeah, unfortunately for me that game never changes:) But we've had it pretty good, so I can't complain too much.

Jay, have you played 2k7? Is there a big difference? The main reason I stick with 2k7 is that I have a dynasty on it that's been going for years... on season 22 or so, having played every single game. I don't want to lose all that history:)

Again, thanks for the help... I'll likely get the UConn team made up soon, though I might check back with you guys for a few details.

BTW, was Gordon a decent defender?

I was surprised when Marcus Williams never panned out in the NBA. I thought he was the best pure point guard in that draft.

Things could've panned out a lot differently for Williams if the Celtics took him just one spot higher instead of Rondo.

Gordon was adequate on D. Sometimes lacked focus, but could do the job when locked in. Taliek typically took the toughest defensive assignments in the backcourt. And it helped that Okafor was there to erase a lot of mistakes. He was one of the best college post defenders I've seen - very smart about when to challenge shots, when to show and recover, when to stay on his feet and box out, etc. He wasn't just a guy who got high block totals by challenging everything recklessly - he was very cerebral.

He can't shoot. Even in Europe.

Awesome, thanks so much... Gordon's D was the only thing I was a little sketchy on.

Thanks!

I may or may not already be working on one ;)

Not our best player, but certainly one of my top 5 all time favorites. When he got on a roll he would bring the house down.

My boss - who is a Cuse fan - hated him intensely - still talks about him as a guy who could never miss in a big spot. Lethal.

he holds the record for most assists in a euroleague game. think he's had a pretty successful career as a professional hooper. he's known as one of the best passers in europe and has a long career over there. its not easy to stay in the nba for 5+ seasons
