16. just to add to johnnyc's response, the combined Australian and New Zealand force won fame and notoriety during the Crimean campaign in WW1 - the same campaign that brought Churchill's time as First Lord of the Admiralty to an end. A wonderful source for such information for those who are interested, is https://www.youtube.com/user/TheGreatWar

14. the Sioux and the Confederates? Custer gained his initial fame during the Civil War, fighting in the cavalry, mostly in Virginia and was a Colonel in the US Volunteers. His actual regular Army rank was quite a bit lower, as he was young.

14. If you ate talking only Indians, there were several tribes represented at that Little Big Horn. The two main tribes involved were the Lakota Sioux and the Cheyenne. If you are talkin other than Indians, the U.S. Army gave Custer much heartburn. One of the main reasons why he ran headlong into that hornet's nest was that he was trying to get back in the good graces of the Army brass; especially Generals Sheridan and Miles. BTW, he was, as Knightsbridge says, only a brevet general. His official rank was Lt. Col.

14..Now if I were looking for something more esoteric than his ignoble defeat at the Horn, I would so indicate.
So go with geordi and take the Sioux & Cheyenne.

15..Well, think GONE WITH THE WIND.

16..K9 & JC are right, but Pinot adds we're talking WWI.

17..There's a quintet that finger little Charlie here.

18..Sleep's got it--he looks around and says, "Where the hell is everybody"?

19..Sleep again, watching quality USA cable programming.

20..Geordi & sleep do the raking.

21..JC is accurate with "When I Fall in Love".

22..Geordi rightly picks Radcliffe.

23..Zorro & sleep know he hit four into the stands in one game.

24..Rbny gives us coal mines.

25..Somalia works for VAUC and K9. Chad would work too, but nobody picked it.

I think you can now handle #15.
