I will be in Providence In late May.
I need to make reservations for dinner for 6 or 8 on a Fiday Night
We are staying in walking distance of the Mall down town.
I need some suggestions

These motherf---ers have taken three years to try to sort of what kind of pizza they like and you're asking them for restaurant advice? Have you even seen the beer thread? I'm willing to bet 98% of this board has Pop Tart crumbs in their keyboards...I wouldn't ask them anything.

Just use Yelp.

This place is much closer to Brown's campus, but it can be walked to from the mall area. Great ambiance, and the food is pretty good as well.

Wow. I used to go there in 94-95' a couple times/week then went back a few times in the late 90's. They had a good steak and cheese back then. Great quality.

I also enjoyed the gorgeous Euro talent that was there at night.

Al Forno. Check it out on line. Take cab if you have to.

Use the OpenTable app. We have used it with great success everywhere we travel. Used it to find Firebox in Hartford this past Saturday. Very nice restaurant, I highly recommend it.

Not sure what type of food you're into but North is pretty great. Not really walkable though.

I'm amazed paragon is still around. Loved that place and the scenery.

Al Forno's a classic.

Cab or drive to East Providence for Portuguese. Estrella's is no more, so maybe Madeira's or O Dinis.

Don't sell us short. It's been way more than three years. IIRC the pizza discussion on this board (and its predecessors) goes back to at least the late 90's.

And it's not about the destination, but the journey.

OG is the best italian restaurant ,within a 25 mile radius of my house.
However , I live way out in the middle of the desert.

All kidding aside,
I like to thank everyone for their help

OG really isn't all that bad. Decent quality All-you-can-eat salad and breadsticks really sell the joint in my eyes

You guys are high. Cassarino's and the Old Canteen and those spots have seen much, much better days.

Hemenway is outstanding. In the city for the night and decided to check it out. Highly recommend it.

Totally forgot about that one . . . seconded. Great pasta made on site. Close to what you'll get at L'Orcio in New Haven, but not quite as good.
