OT: NCAA declares war on whimsy

So Akron thought they would have a bit of fun and they'd put their Twitter handle on their basketball uniforms on their February 2nd "Social Media" night games.

The NCAA gave the idea a thought and clubbed it like a baby seal. Apparently you're not allowed to alter uniforms unless you're Oregon in which case you can just change uniforms every other play.

This is one of those cases where people who make rules defend them despite not having even a hint of a clue why.

It's almost month end. The NCAA apparently hasn't fulfilled its quota of Stupid Rules warnings for January. Cal Tech had better hide until the NCAA finds another chump to ticket.
