It's an app for college students. It's like twitter but the posts are anonymous and you have to be on campus(or close to it) in order to post.

You can still see the UConn yik yaks by "peeking" on the thread. You can't post or like yaks unless you're on campus or within 5 or 10 miles of it. Students have been "peeking" on UK's thread and seeing them trash talk UConn Basketball from First Night. The feud began here.

haha dont worry about it I was not updated either and had to delete all my apps to upgrade just to get Yik Yak. Then i just got all my apps back
