Makes me sad to see the city go through this.

I drove through that part of the city on Friday for the first time in years. It actually looked like it was making small headways to get better.

West Baltimore is a very dangerous place- although the riots are all over the city, 150 cars burned, a new senior center burned, and looting everywhere. The mayor does nothing for hours, and does not take calls from the governor .

They just postponed the Orioles game for safety reasons, for the second day in a row

And now they're going to play Wednesday's game in Camden Yards, but it will not be open to the public. Then the Orioles' home series this weekend with Tampa Bay has been moved to Tampa Bay.

I just heard that. What does it mean ? That it's safe for the players and umpires to go but not for the general public ?

I think a lot less security is required for teams & media than for 40,000 fans

A large number of years ago I worked with the Sinai Hospital and Paramedics in Baltimore and there were places they, escorted by the police were afraid to go--even to rescue a person. So its no wonder that 10 years later I was driving back to Ct and got lost in Baltimore---after much frustration the wife said ask someone --this old white dude (me) --had a load of fear from my previous experiences there. But I asked a 40 ish black man for directions --he started to explain then said--follow me I,ll show you the way--we went up streets down streets until we arrived in a desolate wooded area --and I told the wife, I'm not following any longer--just then we saw the sign for 95 and he waved us by --I've felt guilty and angry with myself ever since--I wish I could tell the world how ashamed I am --I wish I knew that mans name!!! Prejudice ? I hope not, Father Taylor would have me doing penance until I die.

The States Attorney just announce they arrested 6 policemen for homicide. Rioters and others cheered the news. Did you notice that Baltimore parents got on their kids when they knew their kids were taking part in the riots and looting---super great people. Too bad some of this looks bad for the whole community.
