UConn has a lot of potential talent on this team, but it doesn't lead to a settled lineup at the beginning of the season. The Game Notes for the weekend include a Projected Starting Nine. Susi (C), Prato (SS), Toppa LF, and Feldstein (RF) are listed in that lineup. Every other position at this point is still listed as TBD.

UConn lineup for the first day seems to be a combination of one of the better defensive combinations the team can field plus going mainly with a veteran lineup for the first day. I suspect that we will see plenty of combinations in the games ahead.

UConn gets out of the bottom of the 2nd, trailing 1-0.
