And now I can feel stupid for doubting the man. Not that I mind it at all.

They already planned for this. It just means he wasn't their first choice.

Huh or maybe they weren't his choice for an NBA job knowing KD will probably be gone after a year.

I think he means that's how Wojnarowski, Goodman and Zags will spin it. They were clearly making it out that their sources had Ollie as the top guy, now they will just say bad sources or Ollie was never seriously considered.
Oh, ok. I missed the sarcasm, but I knew something was off.

Precisely. I believe that one of Woj or Zags already said that, when it was clear that OKC was going the other way, you would see one of them pull his name out of contention. I thought that was an amusing bit of set-up to show that, even when they're wrong, they're still right.

With a pretty big caveat. I said that if he released the statement he did yesterday and then immediately turned around and starting talking to OKC, that would have been a lie. Since it appears that isn't the case, we're all good.

Why does he have to withdraw if he already stated he was not interested in another job. Is he just telling OKC to leave him alone, he's not taking it, before they offer it to him
