Nick Williams article from Buffalo

UConn finally came to terms with the obvious Saturday. It finally got the ball into the hands of Nick Williams. And that's when the Huskies turned a tug-o-war with the University at Buffalo into a game of catch us if you can.

Williams had played no part in the Huskies offense before UConn's arrival at UB Stadium. The junior wideout hadn't caught a pass. They hadn't run him on a reverse. Despite a struggling offense they'd found no use for his talents even though he was the nation's top kick returner last year, taking two to the house.

The Huskies smartened up. They got the ball to Williams.

It is shocking that Williams did not catch a pass until yesterday. It's very much like Easley not catching a ball until he takes it to the house against Pittsburgh. Our coaches need to be hit over the head with an anvil before they recognize the obvious. Maybe someday we will see Nebrich roll out of the pocket by design.
