So, an inside (on the board) source said it would be Maryland on a Tuesday (Dec 8th) but that would make it a back-to-back.

With Kentucky bailing I hope we get a top level opponent. I'd prefer one that we hadn't played
quite often but if we can't get one of those then Maryland is fine.

I understand the "YIKES". With a schedule starting with Lubbock Christian, Vanguard, Colgate--it's going to be a let down when the pushovers of ND, SC, Depaul come along. Happy to see the UConn scheduler finally got us some competition early on--Why they scheduled Ohio State as team 3 I'll never know.
Isn't it about time for Obama to start a "White House Classic" for Women's basketball?? Uconn's WBB team spends more time there than the Congressmen..

The UConn Men play Maryland in the Jimmy V Classic at MSG on Dec 8. According to Jim Fuller, UConn in the MDC would be late Dec.

Have you not been following the rebirth of that program? They are sooo improved - and this year they'll get transfers AND their injured back.

Adding MD makes it three from the Big 10. We can only hope this could lead to that being the norm as our in conference schedule.
