John Toner RIP

Without John Toner's big brass ones that allowed him to leave the good old Yankee Conference for the birth of the original Big East, Husky fans would not even have the opportunity to b!tch and moan about conference realignment and would likely be talking about the challenges of playing UNH, UMaine, URI and Albany each season. Conference realignment aside, I doubt UConn would be sniffing around AAU status while being ranked in the top 50 universities in the US, top 25 public university. Plus, he also hired a pair of guys names Jim and Geno, which worked out well. Props to an AD with vision and nerve and a big thank you from Husky nation. Condolences to his family.
