She could have done better in my opinion. Never to be heard from again basketball wise.

The interesting thing is that McKenzie Calvert, former Baylor commit who ultimately signed with Southern California, also recently announced she is transferring to Kansas.

Those are two nice gets for new coach Brandon Schneider, who was just hired in April. I hadn't heard of him before, but he must have some connections. Previously the coach for Stephen F. Austin (in Texas).

Good point. So far all the previous UNC kids have gone to different schools. Mavunga is the last of the big 4, right?

Lawrence, Kansas is less than a 4-hour drive from her hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Norman, OK (Oklahoma Sooners) and Stillwater, OK (Oklahoma State Cowgirls) are the only major power conference WBB programs that are geographically closer.

It does seem rare these days, but this might be a case where the player cites wanting to be "closer to home" when they transfer and she actually means it! lol

While the two Oklahoma schools have had a bit more success of late, the Kansas Jayhawks actually made back-to-back Sweet 16's in 2012 & 2013. And again, she'll be teaming up with Calvert, who averaged a cool 10+ppg as a freshman for Southern California last season.
