How many NC?

Listening to Kara Wolters on the post game, she talked about what it must be like as a recruit having Geno in your living room and knowing that he could help you get a NC. With that in mind, a review of 4 year players since the freshman class of 1991/1992: 5 classes with 3 NC, 8 with 2 NC and 9 with 1 NC. That means that every player of at least 4 years on the team has a NC for 22 of the last 24 freshmen classes.

Yes- every recruit since Kerry Bascom in 1987 has been to a Final Four, and every recruit since Recbeca Lobo and the class of 1991 has experienced a championship except for the recruiting classes of 1995 and 2004.

Of course, the recruiting class of 2015 won't exactly have to wait long to meet both of these trends...

The key to the UConn national championships is having a NPOY on the roster. There were years when UConn possessed an embarrassment of riches. The 1994 and 1995 teams had three such players, the 2008-2010 teams had two such players as did the 2001 and 2002 teams. If any of the incoming freshman are as good as projected, the string continues beyond next season. If not, UConn will just be very good which will still be better than all but a few programs.

Not sure this is true. Keith Swainer, who I loved.... Charade Houston and Brittney Hunter never won a title. Ketia and charade came to UCONN in the fall of 2004. So their first season was 04-05, their last season was 07-08.... If I am not mistaken they never made the final four

As gently as possible, just a reminder that UConn made the Final Four in 2008. They lost to Stanford (who lost to Tennessee). LSU was the other Final Four team.

That was one of the two recruit (entering 04/05 and 95/96) years that did not win a NC.
