Brad Underwood? SFA is just over 100 miles from Houston...that would be a good hire.

Correction, he "stepped down" for personal reasons. (Sounds forced out)

Wasn't Clyde Drexler the coach for a while? Did he get fired or leave on his own? Imagine if Michael Jordan decided to coach in college? Regardless of his coaching ability, he'd win because everyone would want to play for him.

Yeah...if they keep their guys together, the can be pretty solid with a real coach.

You would have thought that about Clyde Drexler. Didn't quite work out that way. It will be interesting to see who they get and how much they pay.

I could see Calhoun going there...warm climate, school that doesn't have as many admission requirements, school trying to get back to the big time that sees the success SMU is having with a 70+ year old. I could definitely see this happening.

as long as Sampson stays clean that would be a bigtime hire, and if the players stay on board he would be stepping into a great situation talent wise

I heard Boeheim is very interested. He was a little disappointed with the lack NYC support his team has especially after all the signs. Plus Julie has family in the Houston area. He's not quite ready to retire and this gets him out of Syracuse. He would not have moved to a conference competitor but the move to the ACC opened this door.

Wow, Kelvin Sampson would be a home run for Houston. That roster is talented enough to compete for the NCAA/NIT next year. Too bad the fan support is horrible in both football and basketball.

Not sure about that. Played golf there once, weather is hot. Played 18 holes, drank 3 gallons of water and didn't piss. Not healthy for prostate cancer survivors. Blaney maybe but not Jim.
