No First Night telly, so the evening will be an exercise in trying to occupy the time until the first black market videos hit. I have chosen, expensively, to use my time on line bidding on and defending my bid for a pre-world war II Russian battle rifle. How are the rest of you not lucky enough to be at Gampel coping?

Waiting in line here at the south gate for an hour. One more hour to go before the gates open, ugh.
This better be worth it.

I'd trade you a sandwich that size for your place in line.

How could it not be worth it? Let's get your first-hand feedback, Sonny. Oh, and tell Lauren Cox that I'd really, really, appreciate her signing with UConn . . .

Jim Fuller has said that UConn will have Periscope of tonight's activities. Don't know what that actually means other then Periscope is a phone App.

I'm so perturbed by this blackout, I'm considering a life of crime, or at the very minimum, a night of crime.

We went to see "The Martian." A really good movie - but not as good as the book.

I remember the good ol' days when all the local department stores sold military surplus guns. My 1st hunting rifle was a like new Arisaka Type 99 that my dad bought for $15.
Incidentally, the Moisin Nagant is $169.95 at Cabela's. How did ebay compare?

The Mosin's haven't been at Cabela's for almost 2 years. Why that is still on the website is beyond me. Got it on GunBroker from BlackMarketArms (perfect name, no?) for $265, which is fair to middling price these days. ClassicFirearms has some for $189, but you get what they choose to send you. 52 photos of this one - looks sweet.
