UConn has gone under all 5 games, has a total of 38 and somehow there are 2 games with lower totals:

BC is at 37 with Wake.

Michigan and Northwestern are at 35.

How unimpressive is Michigan State? Only favored by 14 at RU.

I was looking at Baylor -44. With a line that huge, I'm always worried about a backdoor cover. Kansas is God awful though.

UConn under looks good. I'll probably put in a small homer play and take Saturday's points too.

Michigan St smells like one of those classic "too good to be true" lines but you're right, they have scuffled. They were well on their way to blowing out Purdue last week and then went to sleep and almost lost.

Michigan State is in a huge look ahead spot headed to Michigan next week.

I love the games that are also program checks for UConn:

Navy is best bet at +14.5 at ND. (And if Keenan Reynolds plays well--like he did against us--he'll be in NYC for the Heisman Trophy show.)
BYU will cover as an 8 pt favorite against ECU (who think they're better than they are after beating SMU)
Mizzou will cover as a 5.5 pt dog against a overly hyped (and due for a letdown) Florida.

So much for one thread where you'd expect objectivity.

I actually like all of those games too, whaler. Oops. I think ND is too beaten up and I really like that extra half point cushion coming off last week's emotional game against Clemson. ECU's defense is much softer than ours and it's tough to see BYU making the same amount of mistakes/turnovers two weeks in a row. And I too think Florida is in for a classic letdown coming off a huge win at home to traveling north to face a team that will try to circle the wagons against at home.

I will probably put a heavy Navy play in as long as I can still get 14.5.

What's not objective about my picks? They are backed by solid reasoning and should all be winners. Don't tell me you're taking the other sides--are you?

Yes, ECU is overconfident is solid reasoning.

It's just a coincidence that you are taking the teams that UConn has played.

Absolutely not a coincidence. I picked them especially because, in the case of Navy and BYU, beating us was a much bigger deal than is being factored into the current lines. All of these picks will be winners. ECU has no shot vs BYU, Navy may very well beat ND outright, and Florida is highly over-rated vs Mizzou. Now tell me you disagree with that.

ECU has a shot, the Navy number is right and I like Missouri in that spot but clearly not as much as you.

Why Northwestern? Michigan let down? Or do you guys think Northwestern can hang/win? Just curious. If I had to pick, I'd lay the Michigan points. But I am 99.999% sure I won't play that one at all.

I think that may be a old fashioned low scoring Big 10 slugfest. I'll take the 8.

Got it. That rationale makes sense if that's what you think.

Well I'm not a degenerate, so there's a very very very good chance that I'm completely wrong.

I like NW +8 vs Michigan. Too early to crown UM the new kings of B1G.

Last I checked beating Northwestern at home does not make you king of the Big 10.

Any change in the line for LSU game now that it has been moved from South Carolina to LSU due to the flooding?

Went from 13.5 to 18.5 which isn't as much as you'd expect... except it got bet up to 13.5 on people speculating it would get moved.
