Many CSN regional networks, including CSNNE, have been broadcasting Fox Sports Network shows for a while, including the Dan Patrick show and Big12 football. As of 8/1, that is no longer the case. It has been speculated that this is in large part due to a contract dispute between the two sides, CSN and FSN. However, given that CSN is owned by NBCSports, could this leave room for some regional coverage of BE games on the regional networks?

Two sports media watchdog types, Ken Fang (@fangsbites) and Matt Sarzyniak (@mattsarz) have been discussing this today. Something to keep an eye on.

On a personal note, it sucks as a closet Oregon State Beaver fan. Loved watching some of their upset wins against the Ducks & USC. Could it be these games will soon be appearing in the PAC-12 network (which Cox Communications won't be broadcasting outside of the PAC-12 footprint)?

Every Pac 12 home football game is on ESPN/ABC, Fox or Pac 12 net. I would imagine that cox will add nationally at some point. Comcast is carrying nationwide. Dtv will make a deal at some point too.

Sounds like short term we're losing college football on the tube, but yes, its probably good news for The Big East.
