Notable games and goings on:
Next UConn game: Tuesday Dec. 8th vs Maryland @ 9pm. Terp-a-Derp.
Next 5 games after:
-Sat. Dec. 12th vs Ohio St. 12pm
-Sun. Dec. 20th vs UMass-Lowell 4pm
-Wed. Dec. 23rd vs CCSU 12:30pm
-Tue. Dec. 29th at Texas 9pm
-Sat. Jan. 2nd at Tulane 7:30pm
UConn in the NBA: Drum had 17 and 23 as the Pistons beat the Bucks (He was also 3-10 on FT. His last few games from the line: 3-10, 6-17, 4-18, 2-11. Just ghastly, imagine where he'd be at if he could hit even 60% at the stripe?), Charlie had 2 pts in 7 min as Dallas lost to Houston,
Future UConn opponents: #2 Maryland beat St. Francis 96-55 (Diamond with a good game, 16 pts, 4 rbs, as their backcourt took a backseat to their frontcourt, who all played well. Carter with 20, Layman with 16), Texas beat Samford 59-49 (Tevin Mack with 3 pts on 1-5 shooting, now at 17% on the year)
Top 25 Action: #15 Oregon presently losing to UNLV (Dorsey playing well with 13 pts, D Jones foul and TO prone while being scoreless in this one)
Our AAC Chum(s): ECU beat South Carolina Upstate 82-71
P5 Winners: Mizzou beat NIU 78-71, Bama bested Southern Miss 58-55, Wake Forest beat Arkansas 88-85, Pitt beat Duquesne 96-75, K St. beat Georgia 68-66 (Turtle Jackson had 2 pts, 2 ast in 7 min)
Other News & Notes: Tolksdorf DNP, Kobe was 4-19 on fgs today as the Lakers lost to the Hawks (I know it's not college and I know he's pretty much an incomparable competitor, but when is enough's enough? Shouldn't one's own beaten down pride be enough to shame you into maybe becoming a different kind of player? Just been bugging me on this his farewell tour. I also don't expect him to change)
