Wow 10 Million to repair the roof. That is almost the price of some practice facilities. LOL!

When you think about the $10m plus the cost of the Ice Rink, and the cost of the HCC, you being to add it up and wonder, "should we just build an all-purpose facility on campus for $100m at this point?

If it was only that easy.

interesting it says "in order to extend the life of the building another 10 to 15 years.." out of curiosity how long do we think Gampel has a useful life for?

Waste of money, people only look up when the team is losing. Rather have a winning team. Spend the money on a recruiter.

So I missed the original thread and googled "Enzo Patoni" and what comes up as the top hit? Boneyard.

PATONI!
I actually met a man named "Enzo" last night at a professional function and I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that the whole time I was speaking with him, all I could think about was that he shared the same first name as the Master.

And I'm even more embarrassed to admit that I had to keep reminding myself not to bring it up.

Yea don't bother - someone on here was pretty close to the family ... something about the Patoni's emigrating over here from Italy years back. Place went up in flames with a kiln fire or something and it's been impossible to source the original material. Not sure if they're scrapping the Patoni work altogether or they finally found someone willing to fix it ... but there's no doubt Enzo's death played a part in the delay.

It seems expensive until you realize that the money is tagged for reanimating Enzo to come fix the tiles.
I heard that option was too expensive. UConn scientists have developed a time machine and are going back to 1990 to get Enzo and his kiln in their prime.

I like what Quinnipiac did. They put up a basketball arena and hockey arena next to each other and connected them with a common entrance.

BU has the same set up at Iganis Arena. Now that the practice facility is where Memorial Stadium was, it'd been nearly impossible to do that. It'd be a shame if they tore down the Feld House.

It's important to note that this isn't merely superficial. They're including the cost of fixing the exterior and re-sealing it to reduce/prevent leakage.
